Gene Strand

Use this entry to indicate if the gene in question is on the positive or negative strand. Positive strand entries will be drawn to the outside of the chromosome circle, negative strand genes to the inside. Only the two characters "+" and "-" are permitted in this field: other characters are stripped out in post-processing. If no valid strand is given for a particular gene, that gene is assigned to the postive strand. Entries can be pasted from a program such as MS Excel.
